Texas A&M is becoming one of the tougher teams to predict how well they will do from game to game. One reason is Kyle Field has not provided the homefield advantage Aggie fans would like. How will they fair in another home game, this time against Auburn? We go over that contest and offer predictions for Week 10 of the college football season.

For the last several years, Gary Patterson has done more with less than any college football coach in America. In other words, the disparity between the rankings of his recruiting and the success he has on Saturdays is as large as with any program in college football. But now that TCU has been in the Big 12 for a few years and as recruiting rankings become more accurate, is Coach P still the most efficient?

Our college football model only takes into account the sophomore and junior recruiting classes, using 247 composite rankings. I averaged those two classes, then compared them with where they stand in the latest AP Poll. Here are the results:

The closer a team appears in the upper-right corner, the more they've done with less. Intuitively, it makes sense mid-majors take the first three spots. The Power 5 school with the biggest disparity is Washington, a playoff team from a year ago. The next best is actually Oklahoma State, then TCU. Though the Cowboys rank slightly higher than the Horned Frogs, TCU did win that matchup a couple of weeks ago.

Posted below is the TV segment where I summarize these findings. I also offer college football picks for Week 6 of the season:

If there's one thing everyone attached to football can agree upon, turnovers have a huge impact when it comes to the outcome of a game. Where the disagreement persists is what causes turnovers. While there are certainly things players can do to minimize turnovers offensively or maximize takeaways defensively, how much does technique and play design really matter? Does style make a statistically significant impact to increasing the turnover margin? In this interview with Cowboys veteran linebacker Sean Lee, I ask him about how much his technique matters versus plain luck, and how he evaluates takeaways in his overall game.

Cowboys at Giants Final Stats

Pasted Graphic
The Dallas Cowboys suffer their first loss since the beginning of the season, to the same team they played, the New York Giants, 10-7. Dak Prescott played his worst game of his career and the Cowboys offense was the least efficient it has been all season long. Though the Giants did not play much better, they come away with a season sweep.

Cowboys at Vikings Final Stats
