If there's one thing everyone attached to football can agree upon, turnovers have a huge impact when it comes to the outcome of a game. Where the disagreement persists is what causes turnovers. While there are certainly things players can do to minimize turnovers offensively or maximize takeaways defensively, how much does technique and play design really matter? Does style make a statistically significant impact to increasing the turnover margin? In this interview with Cowboys veteran linebacker Sean Lee, I ask him about how much his technique matters versus plain luck, and how he evaluates takeaways in his overall game.

The Dallas Cowboys had their most efficient offensive performance of the season, en route to their 13th win by knocking off the Detroit Lions 42-21. Dallas had already clinched the top seed in the NFC playoffs, but played nearly all of its starters. They are expected to do the same next week against Philadelphia, the regular-season finale before the playoffs.

The Dallas Cowboys suffer their first loss since the beginning of the season, to the same team they played, the New York Giants, 10-7. Dak Prescott played his worst game of his career and the Cowboys offense was the least efficient it has been all season long. Though the Giants did not play much better, they come away with a season sweep.

The Dallas Cowboys improve to 11-1 on the season, defeating the Minnesota Vikings 17-15. Dallas needed a stop on a two-point conversion attempt to survive in Minneapolis. Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott had some of their lower standard statistics (and a few advanced statistics too).

Redskins at Cowboys Final Stats

The Dallas Cowboys defeated the Washington Redskins, on Thanksgiving, 31-26. Washington was incredibly inefficient offensively, mounting lengthy drives that ended in either field goals or missed field goal attempts. Dallas controlled the game especially in the 4th quarter, despite not winning time of possession.

Ravens at Cowboys Final Stats

The Dallas Cowboys set a couple of franchise marks after defeating the Baltimore Ravens 27-17. It's the first time Dallas has defeated the Ravens, so the franchise has now defeated every modern-day team in the NFL. They also win their ninth-straight, the first time they have ever done that within the regular-season.

The Dallas Cowboys defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 35-30, in a game with seven lead changes, including two in the final two minutes. Dallas improves to 8-1, now the best record in the NFL.

The Dallas Cowboys earned their most lopsided win of the year, beating the Cleveland Browns 35-10. It was also Cleveland's most lopsided defeat of the season. Dallas is 7-1, improving on the best record in the NFC.
